Walmgate Reframed
Working with the Walmgate Community, York City Council and the University of York, York Creatives are helping to create an art trail and art installation in Walmgate to be unveiled in 2025!

Free August Creative Sesssions (ages 11-18)

Dates: Tuesday 20th & Wednesday 21st August
Time: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Lunch is included, it’s totally free, and your work will be featured in a public exhibition. Plus, you’ll help choose the artist creating a major installation in November!

Free Story writing and telling sessions (adults)

Join us for a story writing workshop using the history of Walmgate and your stories as residents of Walmgate right now!

Leading on from the story writing workshop, we will tell stories from Walmgate - including yours, if you’re happy to share them! You can come along as a listener or a storyteller, or send your story to us and hear your words brought to life by actors.

PROOF
Original expressions of digital creativity for York.
PROOF was a series of events 2023 featuring work by York-based creative professionals, bringing together artists from different disciplines to create new works that aim to surprise, delight and inspire the public.
The project was funded by the Screen Industries Growth Network (SIGN), a programme run by The University of York.
